Crochet Increasing Rectangles Cup Cozy Free Pattern - Knot My Designs

Increasing Rectangles Cup Cozy

Everyone has a liking for black colour but somehow I tend to appreciate brighter shades more than their darker ones. Remember the peak of winters, when everything is covered under thick snow as if the entire world is clad under a white blanket. For many this is boring and monotonous, for me, this is light and of course bright. Even in dresses, I prefer to wear subtle bright colours. In this pattern, I am bringing the best of bright and contrasting it with the colours in rustic tone.

Process:

The instructions are simple. Single Crochet (SC) stitches in the round. With 2 contrasting colours, I have used a lighter colour yarn as the main colour(MC), and dark tone colour as the contrasting colour (CC). The change of colours is based on the graph shown below.

Edging:-

You can run a Reverse Single Crochet on both the sides or one side to give a defined edge.

Caution Section:-

  1. The cotton yarn tends to shrink after the 1st wash. You need to loosely stitch if your technique is tight.
  2. The initial chain has to be loosely stitched to fit all universal coffee mugs.
  3. For reference, use any of your travel coffee mugs.
  4. Follow the graph properly to get the design.
  5. The count cannot be changed as it will disrupt the pattern.
  6. The pattern is worked in rounds using SL ST and CH 1.
