Winter/Fall Seasoned Crochet Sincerely Ribbed Adult Beanie Free Pattern - Knot My Designs

Sincerely Ribbed Adult Beanie

Can you think of a flower whose smell and colour both are favourite to everyone? I have one in my mind. Lavender. It is loved by everyone and has its own charm, which is attractive yet very pleasing.

Do you love Lavender? I do too. This week, I am bringing another beanie pattern. This can be made for both kids and adults (especially men). Here, I have tried to bring that magnetism with mildness through this design. It is simple but appealing. I hope you are liking the new patterns that I am presenting these days.

Process:

The process involves working sidewise rather than in rounds. You make a rectangle of 9″x22″ and join them. The pattern includes Slip Stitch in back loop (BLOSLST), Single Crochet Stitch (SC) and Single Crochet in Back Loop (BLOSC). If neatly done, this can be also be used as a reversible beanie.

Pattern:-

R1: Start with Ch 70 +1.

The number can change based on the target audience. For a teen, it can be reduced to Ch 60; for a big size Ch 80, depending on the final circumference.

R2:  From 2nd ch, SC in every chain and turn. Total 70 counts.

R3: Ch1, BLOSLST in every SC loosely and turn. Total 70 counts.

R4: Ch 1, BLOSC 70 times and turn. Total 70 counts.

R5-R6: Repeat R3-R4.

R7: Ch1, BLOSC 70 times and turn.

R8-R14: Ch1, SC in every stitch across and turn.

R15: Ch1, BLOSLST in every stitch and turn.

R16-R18: Ch1, BLOSC across and turn,

R19- R26: Ch1, SC across and turn.

Repeat 15- 26 till you get 9″ in height.

Join at sides and sew at the top.

Caution Section:-

  1. The pattern is pretty easy to follow. You need to make sure the count does not increase or decrease every row.
  2. The starting chain should be equivalent to the circumference of the head size. For that, ch and join the chain in around and measure the circumference.
  3. You can also work a couple rows of SC and then measure the length to get the idea.

Product Specifications:

Defining Dimensions:-

Length: 9″

Circumference: 22″

Optional Alterations:-

  • You can increase the base diameter to give a more slouchy feel. Also, increase the height of the beanie.
  • This is a Unisex beanie. So in case you are using it as a female beanie, you can add pom-pom matching the colour with the edging or the base colour. There are different ways to create pom-pom.
  • You can attach flowers, beads or a bow made of crochet, plastic, suede leather etc to give cuteness to the hat.
  • You can put fur edging to give a different touch.
  • For men, keep it simple. The colour selection should catch the eye.

Remember: do not over accessorize it. This takes away the beauty of the pattern itself. Believe in elegant simplicity!!
